Derasat Participates in the Sixteenth Edition of MEDays Forum in Morocco

The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat) represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the sixteenth edition of the MEDays Forum, held from November 27–30, 2024, in Tangier, Morocco. Organized by the Amadeus Institute under the theme "Thinking for Acting", the forum brought together global leaders, stakeholders, and experts to tackle critical global challenges and drive actionable solutions.

Dr. Hamad Ebrahim Al-Abdulla, Executive Director of Derasat, played a prominent role in two significant sessions during the forum. The first session, “The Ethical and Legal Responsibility in the Uses of Artificial Intelligence”, addressed the global urgency of establishing ethical guidelines and legal frameworks for AI. Dr. Al-Abdulla stressed the importance of responsible AI standards to ensure its ethical deployment.

In the second session, “The Strategic Importance of Investment in Education and Innovation: Toward a Sustainable Future for Humanity”, Dr. Al-Abdulla highlighted the transformative role of education and innovation in sustainable development. He emphasized how strategic investments in these fields could resolve global challenges and create new opportunities for future generations.

Throughout the forum, Derasat engaged with a diverse range of stakeholders, fostering valuable discussions on regional and global issues. Dr. Al-Abdulla’s active participation reinforced Derasat’s commitment to advancing collaborative solutions and addressing pressing challenges through strategic dialogue and research.
