The Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) is currently accepting registrations for the 16th edition of the Faber Castell Spectra, one of the largest art competitions for students in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event, titled Faber Castell Spectra 2024, will take place in the first week of December 2024.
This prestigious art and painting competition serves as a platform to foster cross-cultural connections through art, while nurturing young artistic talent in Bahrain. Students from renowned schools following Bahrain’s curriculum, as well as various Indian and other international curriculum institutions, participate in the event, making it a truly diverse and inclusive occasion.
The main objective of the competition is to encourage creativity and celebrate artistic abilities in a supportive and friendly environment. The Faber Castell Spectra has been an annual tradition in Bahrain since its inception in 2009, with Faber Castell serving as the Title Supporter throughout these years. This year, Malabar Gold will take on the role of the Presenter.
The Faber Castell Spectra 2024 carnival will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Indian School – Isa Town. In preparation for the event, the ICRF Spectra team recently held a meeting with School Coordinators, with nearly 40 coordinators from 25 schools in attendance. There is widespread excitement among all participants for this year’s event.
As in previous years, participants will be divided into four age groups:
- 5 to 8 years
- 8 to 11 years
- 11 to 14 years
- 14 to 18 years
Participation is permitted only through schools or institutions. Every participant will receive free drawing materials, courtesy of Faber Castell.
The top five winners in each category will be awarded trophies and certificates, while the top 50 from each group will receive medals. All participants will be presented with a certificate of participation. The winning artworks, along with other notable creations, will be featured in the 2025 ICRF Wall and Desk Calendars, which will be launched later this month.
