Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Celebrates Bahraini Women’s Day with Special Ceremony

In a ceremony commemorating Bahraini Women's Day, His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, praised the invaluable contributions of Bahraini women to the Kingdom’s progress in municipal and agricultural sectors.
The event, held under the theme "Women are Worthy Partners in Building the State," underscored the enduring support Bahraini women receive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
“The contributions of Bahraini women span more than a century, particularly in municipal work,” said Minister Al Mubarak, emphasizing their roles in leadership and public service. He highlighted the support provided by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Women, in enhancing women's roles across sectors.
The ceremony featured key stakeholders, including ministry undersecretaries, municipal council members, and senior officials. Eng. Lamia Al-Fadala, Head of the Equal Opportunities Committee, noted that Bahraini women remain a source of pride, achieving milestones in leadership and operational excellence.
Addressing the honored employees, Dr. Suha Ahmed Al-Gharib highlighted the empowering environment created by the Ministry, enabling women to thrive as leaders in municipal and agricultural initiatives.
This celebration reflected Bahrain’s commitment to gender equality and the pivotal role of women as nation-builders.
