Youth Pioneer Society Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Young Parliamentarian Programme in Partnership with the British Embassy

In a significant gathering on Wednesday, November 27th, the Youth Pioneer Society held a reunion to mark the 10th anniversary of the "Young Parliamentarian Programme," in collaboration with the British Embassy in Bahrain. The event honored the achievements of the programme, which has empowered young Bahrainis to hone their leadership and professional skills.
The event began with a heartfelt speech by H.E. Alastair Long, the British Ambassador to Bahrain. In his remarks, H.E. Long expressed his pride in the embassy's role in supporting youth initiatives in Bahrain. "This programme has been instrumental in offering Bahraini youth an opportunity to build essential skills that propel their careers forward. The collaboration with the Youth Pioneer Society has been a rewarding experience for us over the last five years," said Long.
Saud Al-Buainain, one of the founding members of Youth Pioneer Society, also spoke at the event, reflecting on the programme’s evolution and its lasting impact on participants. Graduates Yasmin Youssef, Mais Al-Jama, and Firas Al-Alam shared inspiring personal stories, describing how the programme has transformed their lives and careers.
Attended by the British Deputy Ambassador, Mrs. Fiona Walker-Doyle, as well as representatives from the Council of Representatives, government departments, and past programme graduates, the event was a testament to the success of this important initiative.
The Young Parliamentarian Programme continues to thrive, creating a lasting impact on Bahrain’s youth, preparing them to contribute to the country’s future development.
