The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) on Monday hosted the launch of ‘RANGOON SRAAPPU’, a novel by esteemed author and advocate Abdul Jaleel Abdulla, known by his pen name ‘Jaleelio’.

The event, part of the BKSDC International Book Fair and Cultural Fest going on at Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam, featured insightful speeches from prominent literary figures, each highlighting the profound impact of storytelling and literature on society.

Renowned journalist and author Unni Balakrishnan emphasized storytelling’s pivotal role in human civilization.

He shared his initial skepticism upon receiving the novel but was captivated upon reading it.

Reflecting on the concept of love, he described it as “easy to hear” but challenging to embody without divisions or sectarianism.

‘Umbachi’ praised the novel for portraying love that transcends societal barriers, resonating with Kerala’s inclusive culture.
