Efforts underway to enhance pool and beach safety

Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, held a meeting with Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Royal Life Saving Bahrain (RLSB), to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring the safety of swimming pools and beaches across Bahrain’s tourism establishments.

The discussion centered on strengthening the partnership between the RLSB and the Tourism Authority to implement comprehensive audits and inspections at tourism facilities, ensuring strict adherence to operational safety guidelines for swimming pools.

Her Excellency emphasised that the safety and well-being of visitors and guests remain a top priority, underscoring the importance of robust safety protocols in enhancing Bahrain’s reputation as a safe and appealing destination for tourists.

The minister emphasised that visitor and guest safety at tourism establishments is a top priority, expressing her hope that this collaboration will further position Bahrain as a safe and attractive tourist destination.

On her part, HH Shaikha Nayla commended the Ministry of Tourism’s efforts, highlighting the importance of joint cooperation to achieve shared goals of promoting water safety awareness across various sectors and enhancing understanding of safety measures for beachgoers and pool users.
