A security guard at a local mall in Bahrain sustained a 1% permanent disability after being assaulted by a motorcyclist.
The incident occurred around 7:00 pm on the day in question, when the security guard, while on duty, asked the motorcyclist to move his parked bike away from a gas room.
The motorcyclist, angered by the request, responded by striking the guard three times on his left hand with his helmet. The assault resulted in a wrist sprain and a fracture to the little finger of the guard’s left hand.
The assailant confessed to the assault during questioning by the Public Prosecution, admitting to causing the injuries with his helmet.
Medical report
A forensic medical report confirmed the injuries required more than 20 days of treatment and resulted in a 1% permanent limitation in the flexion of the little finger on the guard’s left hand.
The Public Prosecution charged the motorcyclist with assaulting the security guard, causing a 1% permanent disability, without intent to cause such harm.
The case is scheduled for sentencing at the High Criminal Court on December 15th, with the defendant remaining in custody.
