HRH Crown Prince Inaugurates 20th Edition of IISS Manama Dialogue

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, officially inaugurated the 20th edition of the IISS Manama Dialogue, a premier global security forum.
During his opening address, HRH Prince Salman reaffirmed Bahrain’s unwavering commitment to regional and global security under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness emphasized the critical role of strategic partnerships and collaborative platforms in addressing pressing security challenges and fostering sustainable development.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the enduring success of the Manama Dialogue over the past two decades as a vital forum for addressing foreign policy, defense, and security issues. He noted its importance in strengthening collective international efforts to achieve peace, stability, and prosperity.
The event, attended by senior foreign policy and defense officials, provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on regional and global developments. Keynote addresses were delivered by Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and the Director-General of the IISS, Dr. Bastian Giegerich.
In his speech, HE Dr. Al Zayani underscored Bahrain’s dedication to coexistence, dialogue, and sustainable outcomes. He highlighted the landmark Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) with the USA and announced plans to formally invite the UK to join as a third member.
Dr. Bastian Giegerich emphasized the need for unified international cooperation to address the region’s security challenges and promote prosperity.
With its broad international participation, the 20th IISS Manama Dialogue solidified its role as a key platform for fostering collaboration and innovative solutions to shared global challenges.
