His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held separate but significant meetings with the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, His Excellency Masrour Barzani, during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The discussions focused on enhancing the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and the Kurdistan Region, with both parties exploring new opportunities for cooperation across various sectors, aimed at benefiting both nations.

During his meeting with HM the King, Prime Minister Barzani conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani for Bahrain’s continued development and prosperity.

In return, His Majesty sent his warm regards to President Barzani and expressed Bahrain’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.

Deeper relations

Meanwhile, in a separate meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of fostering deeper relations between Bahrain and the Kurdistan Region to achieve shared goals.

HRH affirmed Bahrain’s dedication to improving joint coordination and cooperation across multiple sectors.

The talks also covered significant regional and international developments of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his appreciation for Bahrain’s support and cooperation, offering his best wishes for the Kingdom’s future progress.

Senior officials

Ministers from both countries attended the meeting, including the Minister of Finance and National Economy, H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa; Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, H.E. Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak; and Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki.

Both sides highlighted the importance of continued dialogue and partnership, underscoring their commitment to strengthening ties for mutual prosperity.
