His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued Edict (59) of 2024, amending certain provisions of the regulation determining the wages, employment benefits, and eligibility conditions for employees subject to the Civil Service Law, promulgated by Edict (77) of 2013, based on a proposal by the Civil Service Bureau (CSB).
Under Article (I), a third paragraph shall be added to Article (II) of the regulation determining the wages, employment benefits, and eligibility conditions for employees subject to the Civil Service Law, promulgated by Edict (77) of 2013, and a new paragraph shall be added to Article (V) of the same, as follows:
Under Article (II) third Paragraph, the Bureau shall also be authorised to determine the starting salary for undersecretaries and other such equivalent ranks who have been granted the “Exceptional Grade”, provided their salary does not exceed the minimum basic salary for ministers.
Under Article (V) new paragraph, the annual periodic allowance shall be disbursed to undersecretaries and other such equivalent ranks who have been granted the “Exceptional Grade” , provided that their salary does not exceed the minimum basic salary for ministers after the increment.
Meanwhile, His Royal Highness issued Edict (62) of 2024, amending Article (I) of Edict (12) of 2023 regarding the restructuring of the High Committee for the Care of People with Disabilities, based on a nomination of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), a proposal from the Minister of Social Development, and the approval of the Cabinet.
