Pope receives Bahrain Dialogue Forum commemorative book

His Holiness Pope Francis welcomed Mohammed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, at the Vatican, where Abdelsalam presented the commemorative book of the Bahrain Dialogue Forum.
The forum, held in November 2022 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, carried the theme “East and West for Human Coexistence.” It marked a significant milestone in fostering interfaith dialogue and promoting global harmony.
The event coincided with Pope Francis’s historic visit to Bahrain and featured a gathering of notable religious figures, including Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders. More than 30 speakers and representatives from 79 countries contributed to the discussions, emphasizing unity and coexistence among diverse faiths.
