Bahrain Turf Series Kicks Off Fourth Edition in Sakhir

The first round of the fourth edition of the Bahrain Turf Series, organized by the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), was held today at the Club’s racecourse in the presence of His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of several prestigious boards including the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

The event drew an array of distinguished attendees, including Their Highnesses, representatives of sponsors, prominent figures, and horseracing enthusiasts. The races unfolded in a lively atmosphere, showcasing thrilling competitions between owners, trainers, and horses from various countries, leaving the audience captivated.

Celebrating Success and Global Recognition

The Bahrain Turf Series, now in its fourth edition, builds on the outstanding success of the previous three editions since its inception in 2021. The series has significantly enhanced Bahrain's horseracing sport and bolstered the Kingdom's international reputation in the field.

Winners and Honors

Winners of the first and second rounds of the series were celebrated in grand ceremonies:

Al Manama Cup: Sponsored by Al Salam Bank, the trophy was presented by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the winning owner Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. Abdulkarim Turki and Ali Habib Qassim, representatives of Al Salam Bank, also presented awards to the winning owner and jockey.

Al Muharraq Cup: Sponsored by Texel Air, the trophy was handed over by Texel Airline CEO George Chisholm to the winning trainer, along with additional awards for the trainer and jockey.

Additional Awards

Several other rounds of the series saw prestigious trophies awarded:

Bahrain Bourse Cup (Fifth Round): Presented by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Bourse, to Abdullah Sami Nass.

Celebrate Bahrain Cup (Third Round): Awarded by Sara Ahmed Buheji, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, to winning trainer George Scott.

REHC Cup (Second Round): HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa received the trophy from Khalid Taqi, Member of the REHC High Committee.

REHC Cup (Seventh Round): Presented by Ahmed Yusuf Abdulghani, Member of the REHC High Committee, to the winning owner Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim.

The Bahrain Turf Series continues to be a beacon of excellence in horseracing, attracting global participants and elevating the Kingdom's standing in the sport.
