UAE, Iran, Japan, Lebanon advance to Junior Asian Padel semi-finals

The semi-finalists of the inaugural Junior Asian Padel Championship, hosted by Bahrain at LETS PADEL courts, have been confirmed. Teams from the UAE, Iran, Japan, and Lebanon secured their spots in the final four of the tournament, which runs until December 21 under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The UAE will face Iran, while Japan takes on Lebanon in semifinal matches to determine the finalists. Meanwhile, teams from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain will compete for fifth to seventh positions.

The third day of group stage action saw Lebanon defeat Kuwait 2-1, the UAE overcome Japan 2-1, and Iran sweep Saudi Arabia 3-0. Group A concluded with the UAE topping the standings with four points, followed by Japan with three, and Bahrain with two. In Group B, Lebanon and Iran both secured five points, with Lebanon leading on match wins, followed by Kuwait and Saudi Arabia with four points each.

Fahad Fawzi Kanoo, President of the Bahrain Padel Federation, expressed gratitude to the tournament’s sponsors, including Spartan Gym, Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo, the National Bank of Bahrain, and Gulf Insurance Group as gold sponsors. He also thanked bronze sponsors Noon Watches, Megachips, and the technical partner, Malaeb app, for their support of the championship.
