Interior Minister Opens Premier Service Center at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports, and Residence

In line with the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing government services, Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior, officially opened the Premier Service Center at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports, and Residence in Manama today. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to modernize and improve government service delivery, following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Sheikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs, along with other senior officials from the ministry.

A Step Towards Service Excellence

During the inauguration, the Minister of the Interior expressed his satisfaction with the new service center, which is designed to meet the growing needs of the public and keep pace with Bahrain’s development. The center reflects the Kingdom's dedication to offering exceptional government services and ensuring high standards of performance and innovation.

Minister Sheikh Rashid also toured the facility, which showcases historical documents that highlight the evolution of the Bahraini passport, including the transition to the modern e-passport. The e-passport, which boasts advanced design features and security technologies, has garnered international recognition and numerous awards.

Cutting-Edge Services for Citizens and Residents

The Premier Service Center offers a variety of services, including fast-tracking passport replacement for Bahraini citizens and issuing passports for newborns within just two hours. The center also supports electronic services through the Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs App, which provides access to a range of services such as passport applications, visas, residency services, and more.

The Minister praised the dedication and commitment of all personnel involved in the Directorate, recognizing their role in ensuring the delivery of services that meet both efficiency and quality standards. The modernization of these services aligns with the government’s strategic objectives to enhance user experience while supporting the country's vision for sustainable growth.

Minister Sheikh Rashid emphasized that the opening of the Premier Service Center is a significant step towards ensuring that services are delivered quickly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The center is equipped with the latest technology and systems, with staff trained to ensure that all documentation and procedural requirements are met promptly.

He assured that the Ministry will continue to expand the range of services offered at the center, including residency and visa services, as well as inquiries regarding application statuses.

The Minister also stressed the importance of evaluating the quality of service and maintaining high performance standards, ensuring the use of modern technologies to further improve service delivery. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting citizens and residents with the best possible services, in line with the Kingdom's vision for excellence.
