Interior Minister Inaugurates NPRA Outstanding Service Centre to Enhance Citizen and Resident Services

His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa inaugurated the Outstanding Service Centre at the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) headquarters on Sunday. The center is a key initiative under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aimed at modernizing government services and achieving performance excellence.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, and other senior officials.

State-of-the-Art Services and Facilities

The new service center is equipped with cutting-edge technology and systems to enhance operational efficiency. Staffed by highly skilled professionals, the center ensures the prompt processing of applications while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

Key services offered include:

Quick processing of passports: Issuing and replacing passports, as well as issuing passports for newborns, all within two hours. Expanded services: Future offerings will include visa issuance, residency permits, and handling inquiries. The center is designed to streamline services for citizens and residents, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.

Showcasing Bahraini Passport’s Legacy

During the event, HE the Interior Minister reviewed historical documents showcasing the evolution of the Bahraini passport, culminating in the launch of the e-passport. The e-passport, recognized globally for its advanced design and security features, has received multiple international awards.
