Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh marked Christmas yesterday with a speech celebrating the Kingdom’s long-standing tradition of religious harmony.
He extended warm greetings to Christians in Bahrain and around the globe, describing the occasion as a time for unity and goodwill.
“Bahrain is a unique example of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect,” he said, adding that the Kingdom’s inclusive approach is rooted in the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Al Saleh also expressed pride in Bahrain’s role as a place where all religions are embraced, praying for blessings and prosperity for Christian communities everywhere.
Sentiments
Shura Council member Hala Ramzi echoed these sentiments, thanking Al Saleh and her colleagues for their thoughtful congratulations on the Christmas season.
“Bahrain shows the world how coexistence and understanding can flourish,” she said, crediting the leadership of His Majesty the King for initiatives that promote peace and unity among different faiths.
She emphasised that the core of all religions lies in tolerance and goodwill.
“Bahrain has rightly earned its reputation as a haven of peace and brotherhood,” she added. “Those who live here rarely wish to leave.”
