Thank you. The generous gestures of citizens and allied countries have made the celebrations of Bahrain’s National Days truly special, said HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Chairing the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace, HRH also extended his congratulations to all those celebrating Christmas in Bahrain and allied countries, wishing them peace and prosperity.
On this note, HRH Prince Salman affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to further enhancing the living standards of its citizens.
As part of this, HRH said the government will launch 6,900 varied housing services for citizens.
The move, His Royal Highness said, is part of the Kingdom’s dedication to ensuring adequate living standards for all Bahrainis.
HRH also directed the expansion of the Mazaya Programme in 2024 to benefit an additional 1,400 citizens.
It is noteworthy that the programme has already supported over 13,000 citizens since its inception.
The Mazaya Programme, spearheaded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, provides financial support to help Bahraini citizens purchase their first homes. By offering subsidized housing loans in partnership with local banks, the programme enables beneficiaries to select properties from the private market, encouraging home ownership and reducing reliance on government housing projects.
The Cabinet also commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s address during the celebrations of Bahrain’s National Days, which marked the 25th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne and other accompanying national events.
