Tender Board Opens Bids for 12 Projects, Including Gulf Air's Hotel Requirements

The Bahrain Tender Board opened bids for 12 tenders from various government and service entities. A total of 61 bids were received from local, regional, and international companies, with the lowest bid for one of the tenders amounting to approximately BD 10.5 million.

The Ministry of Works topped the list of entities with two major tenders. The first was for the replacement of central air conditioning systems and repairs to the main fence at Isa Cultural Centre in Al Juffair. Only two companies competed, with the lowest bid submitted by Intercol Electro Mechanical Services at BD 764,500.

The second tender involved the construction of facilities for the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (Phase 2), which attracted four bidders. The lowest bid was submitted by Kingdom Asphalt Co. W.L.L at BD 7,594,963.

Gulf Air received two tenders. The first was to cover the hotel accommodation requirements for the airline, with two companies competing. The lowest bid was submitted by Ramada Hotel and Suites Amwaj at BD 1,236,516. The second tender was for the supply of economy-class blankets, which saw participation from 16 companies, with the lowest bid submitted by Xiamen Kairunair Commodity Co. Ltd at BD 272,086.

Bapco Refinery also received two tenders. The first was for designing, supplying, and installing canopies for pedestrian walkways at the refinery, with three companies bidding. The lowest bid was submitted by Gulf Fencing and Specialist Surfacing Est. W.L.L at BD 65,900.

The second tender involved site preparation, excavation, road works, and the construction of a new fire school building, which attracted nine bidders. The lowest bid was submitted by Bokhowa Trading Group W.L.L at BD 479,164.

The Central Stores Department of the Electricity and Water Authority received two tenders for supplying electrical equipment and sulfuric acid. The first saw a single bid from Central Energy and Operations Systems at BD 174,824. The second tender attracted two bidders, with the lowest bid submitted by Future Resources Trading W.L.L. at BD 49,500.

Tamkeen was awarded a tender for managing, designing, and producing the Bahrain Pavilion at the 2025 Gulfood Exhibition, with seven companies competing. The lowest bid was submitted by Advertising & Publicity for Arabia Design at BD 19,800.

The Customs Affairs of the Ministry of Interior received a tender for the maintenance of air conditioning systems in government buildings, with four companies competing. The lowest bid was submitted by Bahrain Electrical and Mechanical Services at BD 17,820.

Bapco Energies received a tender for a framework agreement for managed IT services, with four companies competing. The lowest bid was submitted by Diyar United Company at BD 96,466.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority also received a tender for front-end IT development services, with seven companies competing. The lowest bid was submitted by Silah Gulf at BD 43,996.
