Bangladesh-Bahrain Friendship Cricket Cup 2024: Celebrating 50 Years of Diplomatic Ties

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Bahrain and the Bahrain Cricket Federation are thrilled to announce the upcoming Bangladesh-Bahrain Friendship Cricket Cup 2024, set to take place this Friday, December 27, from 2 to 4 PM at the Alba Club field.

This special event commemorates multiple milestones, including the Golden Jubilee of diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Bahrain and the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s reign. The occasion also celebrates the shared significance of December 16, marked as Bahrain’s National Day and Bangladesh’s Victory Day.

In a joint statement, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, Mr. A.K.M. Mohiuddin Kayes, and Bahrain Cricket Federation representatives highlighted their enthusiasm for this event. Mr. Kayes expressed gratitude for the Federation’s collaboration, emphasizing the role of sports in strengthening bilateral ties. Meanwhile, Mr. Mohammad Mansoor, Chairman of the Federation’s Advisory Board, shared his hope that the match will further friendship and mutual respect between the two nations.

President of the Bahrain Cricket Federation, Mr. Sami Ali, remarked, “Cricket is a universal language that transcends borders, fostering unity and understanding.”
