It's worth noting that Dr Al Ansari held numerous academic positions both locally and internationally. He taught at the American University of Beirut and spent most of his professional life at the Arabian Gulf University. He was also appointed a member of the Council of State in 1969 and Head of Information.
However, due to his aversion to administrative work, he chose to relinquish these positions and declined several other offers from the state. In 1989, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, then Crown Prince, issued a decree appointing Dr Al Ansari as Cultural and Scientific Advisor to the Crown Prince's Court. Dr Al Ansari remained in this role as Cultural and Scientific Advisor to His Majesty the King until his passing.
Born in 1939 in Muharraq, Dr Al Ansari's intellectual perspective was known for its insightful analysis of Arab realities in their political, social, and cultural dimensions, with a particular focus on Arab-Islamic heritage and the thought of the Renaissance era.
