‘Open to foreign investments’
Minister of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning Essam Khalaf underlined Bahrain’s keenness to encourage foreign investments according to the urban development strategy and the government’s blueprint as well as the Kingdom’s economic policies and its social fabric.
Speaking in a meeting with the US Department of State Special Representative of Commercial Affairs, Scott Nathan, the Minister said that Bahrain welcomed foreign companies, which can contribute to the national economic growth. He pointed out the Kingdom’s privileges to accommodate vital projects. He also stressed the role played by investments in upgrading the transportation network, infrastructure and urbanisation plans.
In the meeting, they discussed procedures of foreign investment in Bahrain and ways of integrating the private sector in the national economy.
Scott Nathan commended the efforts of the Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs and Urban Planning and praised the role of Bahrain in attracting investments by providing facilities and streamlining procedures to serve the interests of people.
