His Majesty King Hamad celebrates Bapco Refinery Project and Hawar Resort launches

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa commended the inauguration of the Bapco Refinery Project (BMP), underscoring its importance in supporting economic development, enhancing competitiveness, and providing quality job opportunities for Bahrainis.

He also highlighted the opening of the Hawar Resort, describing it as a significant addition to Bahrain’s tourism sector. HM the King was speaking as he received HRH Prince Salman, along with several officials at Sakhir Palace.

Inauguration

HM King Hamad inaugurated the BMP last week in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The BMP stands as the largest strategic undertaking in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s history and a pivotal development in the energy sector.

It is expected that production capacity will reach 400,000 barrels per day, representing a 42% increase.

Vision

His Majesty and HRH Prince Salman reviewed local issues and developmental efforts, highlighting Bahrain’s ambitious vision for sustained progress. HM the King expressed pride in the significant role played by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the continuous efforts of Team Bahrain, led by His Royal Highness, in achieving accomplishments through developmental initiatives and projects that contribute to the Kingdom’s advancement.

He also extended his gratitude to the citizens for their well wishes on Bahrain’s National Days.

His Majesty commended the celebrations held across the country’s governorates, which received widespread participation.

As the new year approaches, His Majesty conveyed his best wishes for a prosperous and progressive year for the Kingdom and its loyal citizens, expressing hope for continued success, excellence, and leadership for the Kingdom.

HM the King also wished for peace across the world.
