MP Hassan Ebrahim Hassan has announced plans to cover the travel costs for Bahraini fans heading to Kuwait to cheer on the national team in the semi-final of the 26th Gulf Cup. The initiative is limited to Bahraini citizens residing in the Fourth Northern constituency. Those interested must visit his office during working hours with their ID card to complete the arrangements and secure a seat. The buses are set to depart after Maghreb prayers, around 6 pm.

Transport plans have also been extended to other areas. Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam has arranged two buses for residents of Al Hidd, while MP Fardan focused on supporting fans from the 12th district in the Northern Governorate. Ebrahim has organised transport for his constituents, and Al Saleh has arranged buses for District 3 in the Capital Governorate, covering Jidhafs, Daih, and Sanabis.

The Bahrain Football Association (BFA) is also working to expand transport options, drawing on the backing of businesses and government bodies. The BFA has called on companies to step forward and assist with costs, praising their history of supporting sports and national causes. Businesses willing to lend a hand have been asked to contact Jawaher Al Dhaen, the BFA’s marketing representative, at 34247806.

The semi-final, set for Tuesday, 31 December 2024, will see Bahrain take on Kuwait, the runner-up of Group A. A win would see Bahrain advance to the final, with hopes running high for a victorious end to the tournament. The BFA stressed the importance of fan turnout, saying that their presence would help lift the team’s spirits during this crucial match.
