A cold wave will hit Bahrain as the new year begins, driven by a high-pressure system bringing northwesterly winds and a cold air mass starting tomorrow evening.
This was announced by the Meteorological Directorate at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications. Wind speeds are expected to strengthen on New Year’s Day, with northwesterly winds persisting across the Kingdom until early the following week. These conditions will generate dust and raise sea wave heights to up to 6 feet.
Daytime temperatures are forecasted to hover around 20°C, while nighttime lows could drop to 12°C. However, strong winds will make temperatures feel even colder.
