HM King hails Muharraq Nights Festival success

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa commended the success of the Muharraq Nights Festival’s third edition held along the Unesco World Heritage-listed Pearling Path.

HM the King was speaking as he received Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), at Al Sakhir Palace.

HM King Hamad expressed his appreciation to Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed bin Abdullah and all its members for their efforts in organising and hosting various national events and programs, coinciding with Bahrain’s National Day celebrations.

His Majesty expressed pride in the historic significance of the city of Muharraq and the contributions of its people, noting the city’s role in Bahrain’s history and the cultural and civilisational richness of its heritage.

He commended the people of Muharraq for their commitment to preserving the crafts and professions of their ancestors, particularly those related to pearl diving and fishing, for which Bahrain has been renowned since ancient times.

HM the King also commended the notable success of the national events that combined heritage, culture, arts, and entertainment, attracting an impressive turnout of citizens, residents, and visitors alike.
