Registration has opened for the King Hamad Leadership for Peaceful Coexistence Programme, an initiative designed to empower Bahraini youth with global leadership and cognitive skills to promote respect, coexistence, and human fraternity.
Bahraini youth interested in participating can apply via the centre’s website (khgc.org.bh) between January 2-31, where further details and admission requirements are available.
The programme, led by the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, is part of efforts to prepare a new generation of young leaders committed to peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.
His Excellency Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, highlighted the programme’s alignment with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He emphasised that the initiative reflects Bahrain’s commitment to being a model for dialogue and mutual understanding among religions and cultures.
The chairman noted that the programme is being implemented in collaboration with Faith in Leadership and the 1928 Institute, affiliated with Oxford University, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed last August in London.
The programme also aims to provide participants with academic training and professional tools to become ambassadors of peace, capable of addressing religious hate speech, racism, and disputes through peaceful means, he added.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed emphasised the programme’s role in fostering leadership skills and enhancing global understanding.
