Bangladeshi Embassy Celebrates Bahrain’s Victory in 26th Arabian Gulf Cup with Live Screening

Bahrain's thrilling 2–1 victory over Oman in the final of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup has been celebrated with great enthusiasm, not only by Bahrainis but also by members of the expatriate community. Adding to the festive atmosphere, the Embassy of Bangladesh, in association with Mukta A2 Cinemas and the Bahrain Cricket Federation, hosted a free live screening of the final match at the Mukta A2 Cinema Hall on January 4, 2025.

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Bangladeshi Embassy, A.K.M. Mohiuddin Kayes, extended his congratulations to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its national football team for their well-deserved victory. The event attracted hundreds of fans from various nationalities, including senior officials such as Yusuf Lori, Director of Information and Follow-up at the Capital Governorate, and representatives from Mukta A2 Cinemas and the Bahrain Cricket Federation.

The initiative was hailed as a gesture of friendship and camaraderie between Bahrain and the Bangladeshi community, reflecting the strong ties between the two nations. Spectators expressed their gratitude to the Embassy and the supporting organizations for arranging the screening, which allowed fans to gather and cheer for the Bahraini team in a spirited atmosphere.

Following Bahrain’s historic win, Bangladeshi expatriates organized a spontaneous victory rally, proudly displaying their support for the Bahraini team and its accomplishment.
