Bahrain’s GDP grows by 2.1% in Q3 last year

Bahrain’s economy recorded a 2.1% growth in GDP at constant prices during the third quarter of 2024, compared to the same period last year, according to National Accounts estimates issued by the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA).
The GDP at constant prices reached BD3,734 million, while at current prices, it stood at BD4,342 million.
The iGA attributed this positive growth to an increase in non-oil activities, which expanded by 3.9% at constant prices and 1.5% at current prices, as detailed in the report.
The manufacturing sector emerged as the top contributor to GDP at current prices, accounting for 20.1% of the total.
The financial and insurance activities sector followed closely, contributing 17%.
Preliminary estimates highlighted that professional, scientific, and technical activities achieved the highest growth rate at constant prices, soaring by 13.8% year-on-year.
Information and communications activities recorded the second-highest growth, expanding by 11.9% at constant prices.
