Joint panel reviews government programme’s progress

Under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, a joint government-parliament meeting was held to brief the Council of Representatives on the latest updates regarding the implementation of the government programme.

The meeting was chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, on behalf of the council, and H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, on behalf of the government.

The government delegation included H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Finance and National Economy Minister; H.E. Ghanim bin Fadhel Al Buainain, Shura and Representatives Councils Affairs Minister; H.E. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs Minister, H.E. Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, Works Minister; H.E. Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Health Minister; H.E. Hamad bin Faisal Al Maliki, Cabinet Affairs Minister; H.E. Amna bint Ahmed Al Romaihi, Housing and Urban Planning Minister; and H.E. Osama bin Ahmed Al Alawi, Social Development Minister, along with several other officials.

Al Musallam expressed pride in the productive and constructive cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities, which has resulted in achievements across various sectors.

He noted that these efforts align with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support and follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al Musallam highlighted that the Council of Representatives’ unanimous approval of the government programme (2023– 2026), with its four priorities and six pillars, reflects a shared commitment to achieving national aspirations.

He commended the policies and initiatives in the programme, which embody an advanced methodology for progress and success.
