Alba Breaks Annual Production Record with Over 1.62 Million Metric Tonnes in 2024

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world’s largest single-site aluminium smelter, has set a new annual production record in 2024, reaching a Net Finished Production of 1,622,261 metric tonnes (MT). This achievement marks an increase of 1,596 MT over the previous year's record of 1,620,665 MT.
Ali Al Baqali, Alba's Chief Executive Officer, praised the company's success, highlighting the commitment and resilience of the team behind the achievement. "Today, we celebrate not just numbers but the dedicated teams behind this achievement," Al Baqali stated. "The fact that we have exceeded 2023’s production record, even after facing the adversity of the industrial fire at the power rectiformer supplying Line 1, speaks volumes about the resilience and loyalty of the Alba team."
Al Baqali further emphasized that the achievement underscores Alba’s ability to overcome challenges while continuing to set new benchmarks within the industry. "We look forward to building on this momentum and reaching new milestones through our in-house production creep initiatives," he added.
