Bounced cheques and a broken promise to register a fully paid property have dragged a real estate company into court.
The plaintiff, who paid BD87,000 for a housing unit and leased it back to the company, is now demanding the annulment of the deal and her money returned after the firm failed to meet its obligations.
The arrangement saw the plaintiff buying the housing unit, renting it to the same company for BD2,175 every three months, and agreeing to sell it back by May 2025.
Despite these deals, the company neither registered the property in her name nor honoured the rent payments.
