HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Endurance Cup Concludes with Thrilling 120km Race at Bahrain International Endurance Village

Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Cup was successfully held at the Bahrain International Endurance Village. The prestigious 120km private stables race witnessed intense competition from Bahrain’s top endurance riders.
The event, organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), also received strong support from His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
HH Shaikh Nasser personally followed the race, encouraging riders and expressing pride in Bahrain’s endurance sports achievements. He congratulated the winners, praising their exceptional performances throughout the challenging stages.
In his remarks, HH Shaikh Nasser highlighted the importance of the HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Endurance Cup in Bahrain’s endurance season, describing it as a major event that draws both local and international competitors. He commended HH Shaikh Khalid’s ongoing support for endurance sports, emphasizing its role in elevating Bahrain’s status in global competitions.
The race concluded with Hamad Al Janahi from RM Stables clinching the first-place title. Hamad Ismail Al Balushi from Al Ajial Stables took second place, while Khalifa Khalid from Al Asayl Stables secured third.
The winners were honoured during the awards ceremony by Ghalib Al Alawi, Secretary-General of BREEF, and Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan, Assistant Secretary-General of BREEF and Director of the Royal Endurance Team.
The HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Endurance Cup continues to cement Bahrain’s reputation as a leader in endurance sports, promoting the Kingdom's rich equestrian heritage on the global stage.
