The BMP, inaugurated under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is Bahrain’s largest-ever strategic investment project and a cornerstone of the Kingdom’s energy modernization efforts. The project is managed by Bapco Refining, a subsidiary of Bapco Energies, which is spearheading the Kingdom’s energy transition through innovation and sustainability.

During his visit, Prime Minister Bychkov engaged in high-level discussions with prominent Bahraini officials, including Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, CEO of Bapco Refining; Eng. Basema Al-Mahroos, CEO of Bapco Tazweed; and Eng. Yasser Abdulrahim Al-Abbasi, CEO of the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC). Senior representatives from Bapco Upstream and the Ministry of Oil and Environment were also in attendance.

Dr. Jawahery presented an overview of Bapco Energies' strategic initiatives, emphasizing efforts in renewable energy, technological advancements, and environmental programs aimed at reducing emissions and promoting clean energy solutions.

“The visit of His Excellency Mr. Bychkov underscores the importance of fostering new economic and commercial partnerships in the energy and industrial sectors,” said Dr. Jawahery. “This is a vital opportunity to explore joint investment initiatives and strengthen bilateral relations between Bahrain and Yakutia.”

The delegation reviewed updates on Bapco Refining’s production operations, cutting-edge refining technologies, and efficient management systems. Discussions also focused on potential collaborations to advance energy innovation and sustainability.

The visit highlights Bahrain’s position as a regional leader in energy transformation and underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to building robust international partnerships to drive economic growth and innovation.
