Bahrain Surpasses Labour Market Targets for 2024, Creates Over 27,000 Jobs

During the weekly Cabinet meeting held at Gudaibiya Palace and chaired by Deputy Prime Minister His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, significant achievements in Bahrain's labour market for 2024 were highlighted.

The Cabinet reviewed a memorandum presented by the Ministerial Committee for Community Services, which detailed labour market indicators for the year. The report revealed the creation of 27,147 jobs for Bahraini citizens, significantly surpassing the annual target of 20,000 outlined in the Economic Recovery Plan.

The Cabinet expressed its gratitude to all private sector companies and institutions for their role in supporting Bahraini employment initiatives.

The memorandum also noted that 19,859 citizens received training in 2024, exceeding the target of 10,000 set under the same economic framework. These achievements underscore Bahrain’s commitment to empowering its workforce and bolstering economic resilience.

In other developments, the Cabinet extended its congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on being awarded the prestigious Leader Medal, the Arab Parliament's highest honour for Arab leaders. The recognition highlights His Majesty’s pivotal efforts in promoting Arab interests and fostering joint Arab action.

The Cabinet praised His Majesty’s initiatives aimed at enhancing Arab cooperation, emphasizing their far-reaching benefits for nations and citizens across the region.
