HM King departs for state visit to Oman today

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa will depart Bahrain today for a state visit to the Sultanate of Oman at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.

During the visit, HM the King will engage in discussions with HM Sultan Haitham, focusing on the deep-rooted historical ties between Bahrain and Oman.

The talks will emphasise the enduring bonds of brotherhood, kinship, and mutual respect that unite the two countries and their peoples.

Regional and international issues of shared interest will also feature prominently in the discussions.

This state visit underscores the ongoing commitment of both leaders to strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation across various sectors.

It follows the historic visit of HM Sultan Haitham to Bahrain in October 2022, which marked a significant milestone in Bahraini-Omani relations.

That visit resulted in the signing of numerous joint agreements and memoranda of understanding, the largest in the history of the two nations, laying a solid foundation for long-term collaboration.

Bahraini-Omani relations have witnessed remarkable progress in recent years, driven by the shared vision of HM King Hamad and HM Sultan Haitham.

These efforts have aimed to unify strategic viewpoints and enhance cooperation in key areas, including economics, investment, trade, and social development.
