Bahrain launches platform to document global bilateral ties • Foreign Minister inaugurates 2025 Diplomatic Forum TDT | Manama The Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, has announced the launch of a bilateral relations platform that will work to document Bahrain’s history of bilateral relations of the Kingdom of with various countries of the world.

He noted that it will contribute to strengthening coordination between diplomatic missions and the relevant sectors of the ministry, in support of achieving the strategic objectives of Bahrain’s foreign policy.

Dr. Al Zayani delivered a speech while inaugurating the 2025 Diplomatic Forum, coinciding with the Diplomatic Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of heads of diplomatic and consular missions of Bahrain abroad, and senior officials at the ministry.

In his remarks, the minister welcomed the attendees, expressing his pride in conveying the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and their great appreciation for the tireless efforts undertaken by the Ministry’s personnel in carrying out their tasks and duties.

He lauded their sincere work in developing relations of friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and other countries, in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s foreign policy and promote common interests with different countries around the world.

Dr. Al Zayani noted that Bahrain’s foreign policy is based on three main pillars: peace, human rights and development, reviewing the most prominent diplomatic achievements of the Kingdom over the last period in these areas, foremost of which is hosting the 33rd Arab Summit, which delivered a historic message of peace and high human rights standards that reflect the vision of His Majesty the King and enhance the standing of the Kingdom as a driving force for achieving peace, security and regional stability.

The minister also touched on the pivotal role of Bahraini diplomacy in promoting international cooperation, emphasising that the signing of the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister with the United States and the accession of the United Kingdom to the agreement reflects the strategic dimension of the Kingdom’s leadership and boosts its status as a reliable partner in achieving security and sustainable development.

He commended Bahrain’s efforts in the field of human rights, noting that the Kingdom has made remarkable progress in this field thanks to the cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and various concerned authorities in the Kingdom.

With regard to development, he emphasised the importance of economic diplomacy and its role in fostering foreign investments and promoting the Kingdom as a major destination for innovation and trade.
