HM King Hamad Arrives in Oman for State Visit

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in the Sultanate of Oman today on a State Visit, responding to an official invitation from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq.

Upon arrival at the Royal Airport, HM King Hamad was warmly received by HM Sultan Haitham, who extended a gracious welcome to the Bahraini King and his accompanying delegation. The reception underscored the strong historical ties between Bahrain and Oman.

During the visit, the two leaders are expected to hold talks focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing strategic cooperation across various sectors. The discussions will also cover regional and international developments of mutual interest.

In a statement made upon his arrival in Muscat, HM King Hamad expressed his delight in visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

“It is a pleasure for us, as we arrive today in the prosperous city of Muscat, on a visit to the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, in response to a kind invitation from our brother His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said. This blessed visit embodies the close historical relations that bind our two brotherly countries and peoples throughout the ages,” HM King Hamad said.

He praised the development and growth achieved by Oman in various fields under the wise leadership of HM Sultan Haitham, highlighting the efforts of both nations to advance bilateral cooperation to new heights.

“We are pleased to commend the tangible efforts made by our two brotherly countries to strengthen common ties and mutual interests. We look forward to achieving greater accomplishments that will benefit both the Bahraini and Omani people,” HM King Hamad added.

The Royal Private Plane carrying HM King Hamad was escorted by a squadron of military aircraft from the Royal Air Force of Oman as it entered Omani airspace, a ceremonial gesture of welcome.

In addition to HM Sultan Haitham, several high-ranking Omani officials, ministers, ambassadors, and members of the honorary mission were present at the airport to greet HM King Hamad and his delegation.

The visit marks a significant step in further bolstering the strong ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, emphasizing a shared vision for continued cooperation and prosperity in the region.
