HM King Hamad of Bahrain Meets Trade Representatives During State Visit to Oman

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received members of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with a delegation from the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at his residence in Muscat today. The meeting took place as part of His Majesty's official state visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

During the gathering, His Majesty warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his appreciation for their continued efforts to enhance economic ties between Bahrain and Oman, particularly in trade and investment. He emphasized the strong, brotherly relationship shared between the two nations, noting the significant progress made in their collaborative endeavors across various sectors.

King Hamad praised the positive outcomes of his recent discussions with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, acknowledging that these talks would have a lasting impact on strengthening the bilateral relations between Bahrain and Oman, especially in the realms of commerce and investment. He expressed confidence that the shared vision for development would benefit both nations' citizens.

Furthermore, His Majesty highlighted the signing of several memorandums of understanding and agreements during the visit, expressing optimism that these accords would lead to expanded cooperation, particularly in areas of mutual economic interest.

The King also took the opportunity to commend Sultan Haitham’s visionary leadership, acknowledging the Sultanate's remarkable achievements, particularly in its economic and commercial sectors. Under Sultan Haitham’s reign, Oman has gained a distinguished reputation both regionally and globally, King Hamad noted.

In his remarks, King Hamad emphasized the essential role of the private sector and entrepreneurs in boosting trade relations and forging new economic and investment initiatives. He expressed hope that ongoing dialogue between the chambers of commerce would unlock new avenues for collaboration and the exchange of expertise, ultimately benefiting both nations.

The King also pointed out Bahrain's competitive advantages, including its strategic location, highly skilled workforce, and favorable investment incentives, all of which make it an attractive destination for international business ventures.

In response, the members of the Bahraini and Omani chambers expressed their gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad for his continued efforts to bolster historical ties and promote economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
