His Majesty King Hamad Signs 25 Landmark Agreements During State Visit to Oman

As part of a State Visit to the Sultanate of Oman, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, witnessed the signing of 25 significant agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to strengthen bilateral cooperation across diverse sectors. The agreements, signed at Al Bustan Palace, aim to enhance the strategic partnership between Bahrain and Oman.
Key Agreements and MoUs
1. Double Taxation Agreement
Purpose: Foster economic relations and enhance tax cooperation.
Bahrain: Signed by Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
Oman: Signed by Nasser Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority.
2. Meteorological Cooperation MoU
Purpose: Establish a collaborative framework in meteorology.
Bahrain: Signed by Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Oman: Signed by Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
3. Healthcare Cooperation MoU
Purpose: Enhance cooperation in healthcare.
Bahrain: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
Oman: Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi.
4. Stock Market Collaboration MoU
Purpose: Promote expertise exchange, dual listing, and market development.
Bahrain: HE Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce.
Oman: Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.
5. Education and Scientific Cooperation MoU
Purpose: Strengthen collaboration in education and science.

6. Media Cooperation MoU
Purpose: Foster collaboration in media sectors.

Purpose: Enhance cooperation in managing endowments.

Purpose: Collaborate on zakat management.

Purpose: Foster public-private partnerships and develop national industries.

Additional Agreements
The remaining agreements cover food security, intellectual property, exhibitions, agricultural development, social protection, combating human trafficking, energy, and renewable resources. Notable among them is an executive program for renewable energy cooperation from 2025 to 2030, reflecting a joint commitment to sustainability.
This historic signing ceremony underscores Bahrain and Oman's deep-rooted and strategic relationship, emphasizing mutual growth and shared prosperity across multiple sectors.
