HM King Hamad Visits the Royal Opera House in Muscat During State Visit to Oman

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, accompanied by an official delegation, visited the Royal Opera House in Muscat as part of his state visit to the Sultanate of Oman. His Majesty was received by His Excellency Nasr bin Hamoud Al-Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court, and His Highness Sayyid Kamil bin Fahd Al Said, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers.
During the visit, King Hamad toured the Royal Opera House, exploring its various facilities and sections. The King received a briefing from the team about the venue's year-round programs, the types of performances it hosts, and the state-of-the-art technology used to stage world-class musical productions.
The King also visited the theater and other sections of the venue, where he admired the architectural splendor of the Opera House, which harmoniously blends Omani heritage with global design influences. His Majesty commended the venue’s role in promoting high-caliber classical arts and cultural performances. As part of the visit, a selection of musical pieces and performances was presented.
In a written message in the guest book, King Hamad expressed his admiration, stating:
"It gives us great pleasure and pride to visit this magnificent artistic and cultural landmark, the Royal Opera House in Muscat. This institution is a true embodiment of art and culture in our sisterly Sultanate of Oman. It symbolizes the rich Omani heritage, creativity, and renewal. Culture and the arts serve as bridges connecting generations and fostering human values and understanding between diverse cultures.

As a gesture of appreciation, the Secretary General of the Royal Court presented His Majesty with a commemorative gift.
The visit concluded with a warm farewell from senior officials of the Royal Opera House.
