Bahrain Highlights Importance of Ceasefire and Humanitarian Measures in Gaza

The Kingdom of Bahrain has reiterated the critical importance of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which includes the exchange of prisoners, hostages, and detainees, as well as the provision of humanitarian aid and the safe return of displaced individuals to their homes in northern Gaza.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted the agreement as a significant step toward addressing the severe humanitarian crisis and ending the ongoing conflict that has lasted for over 15 months.

The Ministry emphasized the necessity for all parties to fully comply with the terms of the agreement, including an immediate cessation of hostilities, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and the protection of civilians. Additionally, it stressed the need for unhindered access to vital relief supplies such as food, medical aid, and fuel, in accordance with international humanitarian law.

Furthermore, Bahrain expressed its deep appreciation for the diplomatic efforts led by the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Qatar, and the United States of America, whose involvement was crucial in facilitating the agreement and paving the way for peace and humanitarian relief in the region.
