Bahraini Farmers' Market Celebrates 12 Years of Success in Supporting Local Agriculture

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasized the significance of initiatives aimed at enhancing agricultural production and supporting Bahraini farmers, underscoring their role in achieving sustainable food security. These efforts align with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain.

During his remarks, His Highness highlighted the progress made under government-led plans directed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. These strategies aim to strengthen Bahrain's agricultural sector to meet current and future food security needs.

This statement was made during His Highness's visit to the Bahraini Farmers’ Market at the Budaiya Botanical Garden, organized by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture. Upon arrival, His Highness was welcomed by H.E. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, along with senior officials.

His Highness toured the market, exploring a variety of high-quality national agricultural products and engaging in conversations with farmers and business owners. He commended their dedication to preserving agriculture, a cornerstone of Bahrain’s national history and cultural heritage.

His Highness also lauded the Bahraini Farmers’ Market as a model initiative, achieving significant milestones in promoting and marketing local products over its 12-year history. He stressed the importance of continuing innovative efforts to support Bahraini farmers and advance the agricultural sector.

Additionally, His Highness praised the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and other stakeholders for their role in organizing events that strengthen the sector. He extended his best wishes to the market’s participants and organizers for their continued success.

H.E. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak expressed his gratitude to His Highness for the visit, emphasizing the motivation it provides to participants. He reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to advancing agricultural development in Bahrain and supporting the Kingdom’s farmers.
