In line with its commitment to promoting scientific knowledge across various segments of society, the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), in collaboration with the Smart Cities Association, has announced the launch of a series of specialised educational workshops focused on space science and its applications.
The workshops, set to be presented by members of the Bahrain Space Team from the NSSA, will cover a wide range of topics including an introduction to space science and technology, the role of space in the development of smart cities, remote sensing technologies, innovation in renewable energy, space security, and the fields of science and technology education (STEM) as well as space law.
His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Asiri, CEO of the National Space Science Agency, emphasised the importance of the initiative, stating: “This collaboration with the Smart Cities Association reflects our shared vision to raise awareness of space science, a vital field that not only improves the quality of our daily lives but also supports sustainable development efforts. These workshops will showcase the vast potential of space science in areas such as disaster management.
