The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) announced the conclusion of 636 inspection campaigns and visits conducted between January 12 and January 18, 2025. These efforts led to the deportation of 118 violators and the detention of 21 irregular workers for further legal action.
The inspections uncovered a range of violations related to the Labour Market Regulatory Authority regulations and Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Legal measures were promptly initiated to address these breaches.
The LMRA detailed that 624 visits targeted various shops across all governorates, complemented by 12 joint inspection campaigns. The breakdown of these campaigns included:
8 campaigns in the Capital Governorate
1 campaign in the Muharraq Governorate
1 campaign in the Northern Governorate
2 campaigns in the Southern Governorate
These joint efforts were conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), along with the respective Police Directorates of each governorate.
The LMRA emphasized its commitment to continued coordination with government entities to intensify inspection efforts. The authority aims to protect the stability and competitiveness of Bahrain’s labour market while safeguarding the Kingdom's economic and social security.
