The Versatile Ghaf Tree

Known for its adaptability to harsh desert conditions, the Ghaf tree plays a vital role in enhancing soil fertility through its nitrogen-fixing roots. Its resilience to drought and high soil salinity makes it ideal for Bahrain’s environmental conditions. Beyond its ecological benefits, the tree adds aesthetic value to the landscape.

The planting of Ghaf trees in Khalifa City marks a milestone in Bahrain’s journey toward environmental sustainability and symbolizes the enduring bond between Bahrain and the UAE.
