Cabinet emphasises ceasefire’s importance in Gaza Strip

The Cabinet has reaffirmed the importance of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, highlighting its necessity for peace and stability.
It emphasised the need for the exchange of prisoners, hostages, and detainees, alongside the facilitation of humanitarian aid entry and the return of displaced persons to their homes in northern Gaza.
The Cabinet stressed the necessity for all parties to adhere to the ceasefire agreement.
In this context, the Cabinet expressed its appreciation for the diplomatic mediation efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and the US, which played a vital role in achieving this agreement.
The Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting yesterday at Gudaibiya Palace.

The Cabinet underscored the significance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to the Sultanate of Oman and highlighted the outcomes of the official talks between HM the King and the Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
The discussions reaffirmed the historical and distinguished ties between the two countries and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation across various sectors.
These relations will be further strengthened through the implementation of agreements, memoranda of understanding, and executive programmes.
The Cabinet emphasised the prompt implementation of these agreements to further enhance bilateral relations and expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality and generous reception extended during HM the King’s state visit to Oman.
The Cabinet emphasised that the Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Track in the Southern Governorate, inaugurated by His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, is part of the Kingdom’s initiatives to encourage participation in sports.
These initiatives are supported by the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Cabinet also commended the efforts of the Ministry of Works in implementing the Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Track.
Congratulations The Cabinet extended its congratulations to the outstanding students of the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year and acknowledged the Ministry of Education’s dedication to advancing the Kingdom’s efforts within the education sector.
