Minister of Tourism Inaugurates 35th Edition of Autumn Fair in Bahrain

Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), officially inaugurated the 35th edition of the Autumn Fair at Exhibition World Bahrain. The event, organized by Informa Markets Bahrain, will run until February 1st and is expected to attract thousands of visitors.

Since its inception in 1989, the Autumn Fair has been a cornerstone of the Kingdom's retail sector. This year, over 600 exhibitors from 20 countries will showcase a diverse range of products, including fashion, accessories, books, perfumes, jewelry, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

The 35th edition features several enhancements, including a larger exhibition space of 22,500 square meters to accommodate the growing demand. Dedicated international pavilions representing 12 countries and special sections for jewelry displays and locally produced Bahraini goods have also been incorporated.

Dana Al Saad, Deputy CEO for Resources and Projects at the BTEA, emphasized the government's commitment to supporting such events to stimulate economic growth and enhance Bahrain's global tourism appeal. She highlighted the importance of the fair in showcasing local products and fostering international trade partnerships.

Mohammed Ebrahim, General Manager of Informa Markets Bahrain, expressed his enthusiasm for the 35th edition, emphasizing the focus on enhancing the visitor experience through increased space, innovative technology, and interactive displays. He thanked Minister Al Sairafi for her continued support of events that contribute to the growth of Bahrain's tourism and commercial sectors.

The Autumn Fair is anticipated to be a significant shopping event in the region, attracting both local residents and international visitors.
