HE Interior Minister receives Permanent Representative of Bahrain to UN Office in Geneva

HE Interior Minister receives His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla, the Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations Office in Geneva, on Thursday.

He welcomed the envoy and hailed the mission's role in highlighting Bahrain's main international achievements, especially in human rights, basic freedoms, and the National Human Rights Plan projects.

HE the Interior Minister asserted the dedication of Bahrain to reinforce peaceful coexistence and the support of regional peace and stability out of the vision of His Majesty King Hamad Al Khalifa. He highlighted the royal human rights initiatives, including the milestones of the alternative sentencing project and the open prisons programme. He hailed the ongoing support of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to carry out reform projects.

He noted that the Interior Ministry continues its human rights respect strategy and protection of security and general safety. The envoy thanked HE the Interior Minister for his dedication to promoting cooperation.
