Bahrain and Kerala Officials Discuss Enhanced Economic Cooperation at WEF 2025
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with P. Rajeeve, Minister of Industry and Law for the Indian state of Kerala, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2025 Annual Meeting.
The meeting, attended by prominent Bahraini officials including Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and CEO of the Bahrain Economic Development Board; Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; and Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, focused on strengthening financial, economic, and investment ties between Bahrain and India.
Shaikh Salman underscored the long-standing historical relationship between Bahrain and India, emphasizing the importance of deepening collaboration in financial, economic, and trade sectors. He highlighted the mutual benefits of fostering closer coordination to achieve shared goals and advance bilateral relations.
Discussions also covered global economic developments and areas of mutual interest in financial, economic, and investment fields, reflecting a commitment to enhancing cooperation between Bahrain and Kerala.
The meeting reinforced the strong ties between the two regions and the shared vision for continued partnership in driving sustainable economic growth.
