Bahrain’s Parliament Speaker Highlights Growing Ties with Pakistan

The Speaker of Bahrain's Council of Representatives, His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, reaffirmed the deep-rooted and historic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He highlighted the ongoing progress in bilateral relations across all sectors, bolstered by the strategic partnership between the two nations. These relations thrive under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan.

In a statement, Al-Musallam underscored the high level of cooperation and parliamentary coordination between Bahrain's Council of Representatives and Pakistan's National Assembly and Senate. He emphasized the shared commitment to fostering mutual growth and prosperity for both countries and their peoples.

The remarks were made during a meeting held this morning in his office with Bahrain’s Ambassador to Pakistan, His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed Abdul Qader.

Al-Musallam stressed the importance of activating the role of joint parliamentary friendship committees to strengthen bilateral relations. He called for increased exchange of expertise and visits, along with efforts to advance economic and investment cooperation to meet shared aspirations. He also praised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its role in bolstering diplomatic ties and commended the efforts of Bahrain’s embassy in Pakistan in supporting bilateral collaboration.
